where is hot in april in europe sicily
This is in April – Can you imagine August? I went back in August and by 8:30 in the morning it was wall to wall people.

If you’re like me, some serious sunshine is needed after the “dark ages” of February and March. It’s absolutely essential to find somewhere bright for an April Escape.

But first things first. “Hot” in April in Europe is a relative term. There’s no guarantee of “hot” as the weather can go completely bonkers, and it’s Europe and pretty far north.

The weather is increasingly unpredictable due to climate change, but we’ve got to adapt.

Morgan’s April Travel Video

But, April is my absolute favorite time to visit the Portuguese coast as the crowds haven’t clogged up the infrastructure. Restaurants, hotels and outdoor activities like hiking, visiting European beaches, mountain biking and cycling are amazing.

And better yet, you can live your best white lotus life and get to Taormina in Sicily without throngs of tourists.

Think more like “warm” and if you’ve come from the cold, dark North, warm will feel like hot anyways ;-).
